Pilates is a method of training the body to work from the core. When the body moves from the core, your strength, flexibilty, agility and control improve. When working on the equipment there is resistence through full range of motion using springs as the resistence. Pilates focuses on quality of movement, not quantity. Breath, Concentration, Control, Precision, Centering and efficiency of movement. Pilates helps you move and perform better in your other activites.
This is the best place to start. You will learn the basic principles and how to apply them. Your trainer will work with you to help you understand your own body and what modifications you need. These 2 sessions can change the way you move your body!
